How to Play:
Step 1: Setup
1. Shuffle the deck thoroughly
2. Deal 7 cards to each player incase of 2 players and 5 cards to each incase of
more than 2 players
3. Place the remaining cards in the center as a draw pile
Step 2: Gameplay
Arrange cards in hand according to sets. Players should plan which set to ask for
and which opponent to ask
Game Rules - Asking for Cards:
On player's turn, the player can point at an opponent they want to ask, chant the shloka on the card they want, and then ask for the cards. If they cannot recite it correctly, other players can help the player recite the shloka. Asking player must chant the full shloka. Only after the full shloka is chanted should the opponent give the cards to the asking player. If the opponent has more than 1 card from that shloka set, the opponent player must give all of the shloka cards to the asking player.
If the opponent does not have any cards from that shloka set, the asking
player must draw 1 card from the draw pile
Completing a Set
Once a player collects all 4 similar shloka cards, they must lay the set face-up and they get one more turn to ask an opponent for any other shloka.
Note: Even if the draw pile is empty, players can keep asking opponents for cards. If the opponent doesn’t have a card, player waits for their next turn to ask the needed card from a different opponent who might have the necessary card.
Step 3: Ending the Game
- The game ends when all shloka sets are completed
- Players count their completed shloka sets
- The player with the most sets wins the game!
